Introduction

It's been a long time since I first wrote my introduction on this blog. A lot has changed. It will still be  my scratchpad, a place to contain my thoughts, and about where to find some of my published pieces. But having branched out to Patreon, Medium, and a few other places, I'll have more writing and art on those sites than here. This still might be a good place for news, but I'm still working that out. To live is to change, and that is happening faster than ever.

With that in mind, I'll be paring down my posts to make what does appear here more appropriate for a blog.

I'm still just a poet that dabbles in fiction, songwriting, and arts. I have a lot of interests and I won't tie myself to just one area. I might make more money or become better-known if I did, but I'm here to have fun more than anything. And, no, dancing is still out...

I had to keep this part in my intro: I can't give a proper explanation of how poetry became such a part of my life. Hated it in school. But here I am, trying to make words rhyme. Or not, depending upon my mood.

That really covers everything there is to say about why this blog exists. Whether you've found this blog because you have an interest in writing or you've stumbled blindly onto here and are wondering what it's all about, you're welcome to look around and see if anything catches your eye—or your mind. So, stop by again, maybe even pass along a comment or two about what you like—or don't like. All will be greatly appreciated!

P.S. You'll probably find me at the annual Shore Leave Convention now in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I usually have books to give away (with my stories and those from other authors) and maybe some art for sale. If you see me there, stop and say hi!
